Josh Selby- Memphis Grizzlies' 49th Pick 2011 NBA Draft



This past NBA draft the Memphis Grizzlies found a gem at the 49th pick. They selected point guard Joah Selby out out of Kansas. The year before Selby, by many of the major basketball recruiting services, was ranked the number 1 player out of the 2010 class. After suffering form setbacks during his only year at Kansas, Selby is ready to show what he can do. Here's a highlight cut I did after seeing destroy City Hs in B-More. Here's what I said last year concerning Josh Selby.

Josh Selby, 6'2" PG McDonalds all-American c/o 2010, finished season ranked no 1 player in the country by Rivals.com. The University of Kansas bound Selby averaged 32 points 7 assists 5 rebounds and 2 steals a game this season for Lake Clifton out of Baltimore, MD. Josh's athleticism is through the roof! We are talking about a future lock for NBA stardom! He has a killer instinct that is rarely found in a player of his age and so early in his career. Josh can kill you from anywhere on the court: whether it be from the NBA three, breaking you down of the dribble and passing to a open teammate, or finishing well above the rim through traffic. Tim Shaw 2013 PG Memphis Central @ the Super 80 Fall Basketball League

Memphis Central High School is without a doubt in transition. This Summer, the Warriors found out that they were losing Nationally ranked senior forward Jarnell Stokes and last years starting point guard, Blake Johnson, both to transfer. The thing about basketball is that someone must always step up. Tim Shaw, 2013 Point Guard, is poised and ready to do so. The 6'1" lightning quick Shaw will be one of the best scorers on the Warriors roster for 2011-12. PM Hoops caught up with Shaw at the Super 80 Fall Basketball League.
