Image
Here's clips of super smooth point guard, Blake Williams of Cordova (TN) High School. The silky lefty PG has always been mentioned amongst the best point guards in his class. Williams has a tight handles. It's almost like he has a yo-yo string attached to the rock. He has great body control and change of pace as well. Williams has worked hard this Summer to become a more consistent shooter. Although Blake has superb scoring ability, he's a willing passer with incredible court vision. Blake William is by far one of the better point guards nationally in the class of 2017.

Here are some clips of high motor point guard, Mark Freeman, of Memphis Southwind and Team Penny. Dude can flat out play. Mark has that change of pace element that all good point guards should have. Mark can score with the best of them, but prefers to run the team and get others involved. Freeman is a ball hawk on defense. It isn't safe to dribble in front of him because he specializes in cookie snatching. Check for Mark Freeman in the Fall at Memphis Southwind HS.

Trey Davis, Memphis St. Benedict/Memphis Kings 2018

Check out clips from St. Benedict's Trey Davis during the Hoop Play Nationals. Trey Davis is a lightning quick point guard that can score if needed, but can also be a floor general. Davis is a strong bodied guard that can take contact and still finish while driving in the lane. If you play him for the drive, Davis will kill you with his ability to stroke the jumper. Play him for the jumper, Davis will use his strength and quickness to get by you. The 2018 class of guards is a beast and Trey Davis is one of the better ones. College coaches get on him quick!

Caleb Henry, Memphis St. Benedict/Memphis Kings 2017

Image
Check out clips of Caleb Henry from the MUS and Harding Academy Summer league, plus the Hoop Play Nationals. Caleb is built like a middle linebacker, so he delivers punishment while driving the lane. Henry has a good stroke on his jumper as well. Caleb is transitioning into playing the point guard position, but he's making great progress. Catch up with him during the Fall at Memphis St. Benedict.

Check out clips of Jalen Crutcher, of Memphis Ridgeway/Memphis Magic 2017. Jalen is a wiry 6' point guard that uses his long arms to be a terror on the defensive end. Crutcher has great court vision and is a willing passer, however, if left alone on offense, he can knock down the open jumper. Jalen by far, is one of the best guards coming out of Memphis in the 2017 class.
