Kylan Phillips-Memphis Mitchell/Memphis Hoopers 2015

Image
Kylan Phillips was a major cog in the Mitchell High basketball machine. Flanked by two team mates that were prolific scorers, Phillips job was to set them up. As the son of a coach, Phillips has the ability to see the game from another perspective. His basketball IQ is off the charts. Kylan is also a pest on the defensive end. He's the type of aggravating defender that gets under the ball handler and causes turn-overs. This past season, Kylan helped led Memphis Mitchell to the Class A Tennessee State Championship during his junior campaign. Watch out for Kylan Phillips this Summer with the Memphis Hoopers

Naba Echols-Memphis Mitchell/ Team Thad 2015

Image
Check out some clips of Memphis Mitchell/ Team Thad's Naba Echols. Echols is what I call a "pure point guard". There is no doubt that he can run a team at the next level. Even though he's a small guard, Naba is fearless and is a defensive ball hawk. His basketball IQ is off the charts and he often makes the right basketball play. Echols is also a winner; he has been a champion at every level he's played on thus far. Catch up with Naba during the summer with Team Thad's 17u.

Jeremiah Martin-Memphis Mitchell/Team Thad 2015 pt.2

Image
I did a video highlight of Jeremiah Martin, 2015 Combo Guard from Memphis Mitchell High, a month ago. Recently, I came across some game film from Mitchell High's 2013-14 Tennessee Class A State Tournament Championship season. After breaking down most of the game film, I discovered that Jeremiah, mostly known for his ability to catch and shoot, is a beast at playing the passing lane and collecting steals. He also has the ability to create for himself and teammates. Watch out for Jeremiah Martin on the Under Armour Summer circuit playing for Memphis Team Thad.

Johnae Stuart 2018 (Girl Hoop)

Image
Here's some clips of 2018 Combo Guard, Johnae Stuart. She is elusive with the dribble and is incredibly  crafty with the rock. She's hands down one of the best up-and-coming lady hoopers in the 901 area code. It's going to be a delight to watch her grow and develop. Enjoy!

Terrence Davis 2015 Team Thad/ South Haven (MS) High School

Image
Here are some clips of two sport stand-out, Terrence Davis (2015) of Team Thad. Standing at 6'4", Davis is super athletic. It's typical for him to be on the receiving end of most lobs near the rim. Davis is also an outstanding perimeter defender and has quick hands.

Nick Marshall 2015 Team Thad, Lexington (TN)

Nick King: Live @ The Super 80

Image
Blew up! That's the best phase that describe Nick King's burst from an unknown baller to a 5 star highly ranked hooper. After playing on an under-performing East High basketball team, Nick King 2013, took full advantage of the spring and summer AAU scene. Nick, who is a 6'7" silky smooth lefty wing, was absolutly amazing for the YOMCA 16 and under team. It was King's last second bucket that earned the "Y" the 16 and U championship at this year's Nike Peach Jam. On top of being an outstanding basktball player, King is an excellent young man. Please sit back and enjoy.

Live @ The Super 80: Matthew Butler Memphis East 2013

Image
Matt Butler is by far one of the most impressive prospects at the Super 80 Fall Showcase. While Butler may not be the flashiest player or have the sexiest game, he kills you with good ole' fashion fundalmentals. Butler has one of the sweetest strokes from beyond the stripe that I've ever seen on the high school level. Butler also impressed with his ability to free himself up by using sceens and picks. Once he catches the rock the battle is over because he's going to find a way to score.

Live @ The Super 80: Andre Applewhite Memphis Central 2012

Image
Andre Applewhite's, 6'4" SG Memphis Central 2012, time has come. After being the guy along side Top 20 nationally ranked big man, Jarnell Stokes for three years, Applewhite will now have to lead a young group of Central Warriors as the experienced vet. From everything that I wittness during the Super 80, I think he can deliver. Dre is a defensive nightmare because of his length, strong plus active hands, and quick feet. Over the Summer, Applewhite put the work in and became more consistant with his jumper and worked on his moves off the bounce. In Andre's eyes the Central Basketball Warriors aren't dead yet. Be on the look-out.
